Ananya Trust

Recently, I visited Ananya Trust – a non-profit organization that provides meaningful education for the first generation learners from the slums of Bangalore. I noticed that at Ananya, the kids are encouraged to recognize and follow their passion. There is no pressure and this enables the kids to learn at their own pace. This in turn makes learning a fun exercise and the kids, more motivated.

At Ananya I met Sharad, a student at that school. Sharad is an incredibly talented artist and wields both the brush and the mouse with great dexterity. As with most children at Ananya, Sharad has a story behind him (you can read more about his background here). Below is a short movie I made of Sharad.

Due to his familial circumstances, Sharad will have to look for a job soon. Readers please e-mail me if you can help enable Sharad to learn more or get a job where he can follow his passion. More details on Ananya here
